2017 Fiesta Medals

Our cat and dog 2017 Fiesta medals are here!

2017 Fiesta MedalsOur 2017 Fiesta medals, featuring Auggie the dog and Franklin the cat, can be purchased now in The Cannoli Fund’s Fiesta medal shop and on eBay. Each medal proclaims “Spay or Neuter Pets,” the central mission of our nonprofit serving the cats and dogs of King William and Lavaca.

The star of this year’s dog medal is Auggie, a bull terrier/Amstaff mix, found in terrible condition in King William last summer. Although young, Auggie had multiple health problems, including a terrible case of mange, heartworm disease, and a large lump above his tail. Our Cannolicare and spay/neuter reimbursement programs covered Auggie’s months of veterinary care. Auggie’s foster mom has taken him to all of his vet appointments. She’s slowly nursed him back to health, showing Auggie the love, attention, and care he, and all dogs, deserve. Watch this website for Auggie’s full story with photos, coming soon.

2017 marks the first year a kitten has starred on our cat Fiesta medal. Franklin, a light orange and white kitten, was found alone on the street. Quickly scooped up by a neighbor, the kitten went to the vet to be checked out. He was fostered for only a few hours by one of our board members, then Franklin’s rescuers decided they couldn’t live without him. They came and picked him up from his foster and took him home to join their family. Franklin has lived in the lap of luxury, along with two dog siblings, ever since! Learn more about Franklin over the coming weeks.
