Cannoli and Samson Meet

2012 Fiesta Medal Launch Party at Tails Natural Pet Market

Cannoli and Samson Meet at Tails Natural Pet Market in Southtown
Cannoli and Samson say hello at The Cannoli Fund’s medal release party at Tails Natural Pet Market.

On Sunday April 15, 2012, The Cannoli Fund’s supporter, friend, and neighbor, Tails Natural Pet Market, graciously hosted the 2012 launch party for this year’s two Cannoli Fund Fiesta medals. Thanks to the generosity of local Southtown businesses including Tails, the Villa Finale Museum Shop, Clothesline Cleaners, and at the King William Fair, we were able to sell hundreds of Fiesta medals this year with all funds going to improve the lives of cats and dogs in the King William and Lavaca neighborhoods just south of downtown San Antonio.

Making a rare public appearance, King William native The Cannoli himself was present. Samson, the formerly stray Springer Spaniel, model for the dog medal, also attended.

Long-time Cannoli fans, both human and canine, and new converts alike enjoyed refreshments and the chance to buy this year’s medals along with some earth-friendly modern pet items.

There are only a handful of official The Cannoli Fund 2012 Fiesta medals left for sale. They cost $8 and can be ordered online through our shop or purchased at any upcoming Cannoli Fund event.
