Free Spay Neuter in 26 San Antonio Zip Codes in 2025-2026
The City of San Antonio’s Animal Care Services‘ free spay neuter program is very popular and waits are long. Make an appointment as soon as possible.
This grant provides FREE spay/neuter for cats and dogs living in 26 San Antonio zips. Both feral/community and pet cats are eligible.
Dogs and cats must be at least eight weeks old and weigh at least two pounds at the time of surgery. Bring proof of address (driver’s license, pay stub, utility bill, etc) on the morning of your pet’s appointment.
Pets must be vaccinated for rabies. Rabies vaccines can be given for $5 to $20. If your pet had a rabies shot in the past year, bring the official vaccination certificate signed by a veterinarian.
